Two days ago I was contacted by Salt Lake Magazine. They asked to interview me and feature Salt City Lashes in their Local Business section of their website! This was very exciting! Here is the article for your viewing pleasure!
Local Business Spotlight: Salt City Lashes Sep 17th 2014 Photo courtesy of Salt City Lashes Rachel Coplin, owner of Salt City Lashes, recently ventured into the world of small-business ownership, opening her eyelash studio in the Salt Lake Design Center in July. Having worked for other studios, she struggled with the sometimes unprofessional attitudes and blanket services many provide. “As the owner, I can now control the quality of service and the quality of products that come into my business,” she says. Coplin, who has a background in fine art, looks at her work as an eyelash artist as “a kind of creative outlet." While she acknowledges the fact there are a lot of other companies offering lash services, she says her artistic approach and passion for quality sets her studio apart. Another plus: Salt City Lashes offers only eyelash services, so you won't be pushed into waxing, cleansing or massaging more out of your wallet. Coplin wants every client to have a memorable experience at her studio and works hard to personalize each set of lashes. “We consider the shape of the clients' eyes and their facial features,” she says. Coplin and her two Salt City Lashes employees will ask clients about their personal styles, if they have a special event coming up, and whether they prefer a natural or more glam look. “We can even tell a lot by just looking at them,” Coplin explains. A Salt City Lashes employee might notice a client wearing heavier makeup, bright colors or bold statements, and suggest a thicker or longer set of lashes. Wether you're prepping for a night out or just tired of the struggle that is clumping mascara, add some volume to your set at Salt City Lashes. |
