It breaks my heart when we have new clients come in for a removal of extensions like this. I didn’t dare ask where she got these done, but where ever it was, I hope she never goes back. These lashes are temporary pre-made fans that were never meant to be attached using semi-permanent adhesive. I wasn’t even able to separate them with gel remover. In this case I had to take care to pull the natural lashes free using tweezers one by one.
Typically when we remove lash extensions, they glide off easily with gel remover and volume fans quickly break apart into the individual .05-.o7mm extensions. It is quick and painless. This was a bit of a disaster. You can see the natural lashes that were still embedded in the giant cluster of extensions. This client was committed to using a growth serum for a few weeks to regrow her lashes before doing anything else to them. That is what we would have recommended after this kind of trauma to your lashes. When people tell you extensions damage your natural lashes, THIS is what they are likely talking about. THIS Is NOT normal. Professionally applied extensions that are applied correctly WILL NOT damage your natural lashes. They are light and flexible and you should hardly notice them when they are on. Any pulling or itching you experience are signs of lash damage. If you have any of these symptoms, have your extensions removed asap. |
